Clayton is a Napier-based artist who has lived in the region for most of his life. Deeply connected to his surroundings, he draws inspiration from the warm climate, vibrant music scene and the area’s rich culture, including its art, wine and iconic Art Deco heritage.

His aim is to share his work with a wide audience while continuing to grow as an artist. He is focused on making steady progress, developing skills across a range of media and subjects and ultimately building a sustainable income through his art.

His work reflects his personal passions, particularly music, wine and the beauty of Hawke’s Bay. Outside of his practice, he lives a quiet life with his cat Archie, balancing regular gym sessions with weekly art classes as he continues to refine and evolve his style.
