Jani’s drawings begin with the smallest spark of an idea before gradually evolving into something unexpected. Without a predetermined outcome, each work develops organically through a continual process of layering, removing and reworking.

Using coloured pens, pencils and at times ink, she builds dense textured surfaces rich in colour, intensity and tactile quality. Her work embraces quirkiness, semi-abstraction and suggestion, often leaving space for interpretation and concept to emerge naturally.

She is drawn to the tension between control and spontaneity, allowing each piece to take on a life of its own as it unfolds.
