Living in the rural King Country settlement of Piopio, provides Jo with rich visual and personal influences.

For the past 22 years she has dedicated herself to her art practice. Like most artists, Jo paints what interests her. This leads to a broad array of subjects which provide a small window into another world.

 Nostalgia is a powerful emotion that Jo enjoys bringing to her work. Following a good dose of research, Jo weaves a narrative around the characters that she relates to, creating a conversation between past and present.

Her choice of medium is acrylic on boxed plywood board or canvas. Jo exhibits in galleries throughout NZ and her work is held in private collections both here and internationally.
