Louise is a Hawke’s Bay-based painter working primarily in acrylic, with occasional works in oil and watercolour. Her paintings are inspired by time spent tramping and kayaking throughout Aotearoa, where she is drawn to the changing light, colour and quiet rhythms of the landscape.
These experiences shape the way she interprets form and atmosphere, influencing both the mood and subject matter of her work. Living in Hawke’s Bay continues to provide a rich source of inspiration, from dramatic weather shifts to expansive coastal horizons.
Louise regularly exhibits with Keirunga Artists and values the connection and creativity found within the region’s artistic community.
