Penny is a full-time potter who has won numerous awards over the years. She has had solo exhibitions and has been a guest artist many times during her potting career.

Her former career as a draughtsman has been a leading influence in her love for paper and pens. Calligraphy, or the “Love of Beautiful Writing,” features in her artwork alongside the art of Zentangle, which combines the principles of ZEN (calm) and TANGLE (a collection of overlapping patterns). She has been exploring this form of art for many years, incorporating it into both her paper works and pottery. It brings together elements of art, meditation, and mindful practice, promoting concentration and relaxation.
